Dutchess County’s 6-Story office complex in the center of Poughkeepsie, New York needed to replace its boiler, chiller and cooling tower. The existing building, with its county essential offices, was required to be kept operational while the work was being completed. Fellenzer Engineering LLP worked closely with The County of Dutchess on the programming and project phasing to replace the building’s existing HVAC systems. In addition to the general constraints associated with and occupied building built in the 1960s, site specific space constraints required the creation of a unique access way into the basement, to enable the two boilers and the two chillers to be replaced. Working within the constraints of a fully occupied and functioning facility, Fellenzer Engineering LLP completed the job’s designs and construction administration on time and within budget. |
